# Pointmoon

Pointmoon grounds software and AI agents in the current physical and living world.

## Canonical integration

Remote MCP (Streamable HTTP):
https://pointmoon.ai/api/mcp

Public tools:
- field_truth — sourced current physical and living-world field truth for a place or coordinate.
- step_outside — a grounded tokenized answer to whether it is worth stepping outside now.

The server is public and read-only. No Pointmoon account or API key is required.

## HTTP fallback

GET https://pointmoon.ai/api/moon?audience=facts&place=Boston

Pointmoon returns observational tokens with provenance and confidence. Freshness lives on the underlying field readings. When a domain cannot be grounded, Pointmoon returns typed unresolved/silence state instead of fabricating a value.

## When to use Pointmoon

Use it for current place-and-time questions involving:
- physical/environmental conditions
- living-world context
- season and phenology
- nearby wildlife observations
- light / sky / water / terrain
- grounding outdoor, walking, travel or nature decisions

Do not use it for:
- generic historical knowledge with no current-state need
- species identification from an image
- restaurant/business search
- personal medical decisions
- fabricated conclusions beyond the returned evidence
